My name is Megan Bomgardner, and I am proud to call myself the editor and creator of the Sage Creek Times. I'm a junior at Sage Creek, and I love being able to participate in extracurriculars like writing. Additionally, I enjoy going to the beach and surfing/bodysurfing/swimming, running, and going to school. I also take part in ASB as its vice president. After high school, I would like to attend USC to study journalism or business.
Sam and I, with keen interests in possibly pursuing journalism in the future, decided to create this newspaper to not only publish the latest news, but to make a mark on Sage Creek itself. Being the first graduating class of Sage Creek High School, it is our job to make a reasonably notable impression for the classes to come and the Carlsbad community. . . So why not a newspaper? Ultimately, we hope to make something that is amusing to all types of people, whether they are adults or students. BEING ABLE TO ESTABLISH AN OUTLET THAT GIVES STUDENTS A CHANCE TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES IS AMAZING, AND I'M EXCITED TO SEE WHERE SAGE CREEK JOURNALISM GOES. PRODUCING A WORK THAT EVERYBODY IS PLEASED WITH IS ALL THAT WE WISH FOR. Enjoy!
