Although these are usually spring sports, athletes would like it to be known that the Baseball and Volleyball teams are currently playing offseason in their sport to prepare for this coming Varsity season. Varsity baseball just finished their final tournament finishing 2-2, placing top 5 out of 18 teams.
The past few weeks for the Bobcat Varsity Cross Country team will certainly serve as highlights of the season as they have been on a tear the past two weeks. Out in Woodbridge, Irvine, the team of Brad Nelson, William Mass, Beau Prince, Chris Suzuki, Christian Mitchell, Danny Rubin, Jonathan Hupfield, and Aman Mikel came in 5th place overall out of 30 competing teams. With the weather standing about 95 degrees, these tremendous athletes were able to stay focused and determined in order to earn their medals.
In addition to that race, the team had an even more impressive outcome in the Clovis International at Woodward Park, where they placed second. From 40 competing strong varsity teams, these athletes proved once again why they are ranked 2nd overall in San Diego County. |
