As of today, the freshman team stands at a 0-3 record in league and overall after their most recent loss to Vista back on February 10th. Their defense held strong in the first half, as Vista was held to 0 goals, but Vista came back to score 2 in a 2-1 loss. Their next game is on the 19th on the road against Oceanside. Go out and cheer the freshman on for their first win!
Things have been quite rocky for the JV Bobcat soccer team, as they continue to be bested in their 8 game losing streak. Currently, they are 2-8-2 overall and 0-7 in league play. In the last four games they have been outscored 9-1 with 4 of those goals coming against Vista on the road back on the 10th. This was their first game where they lost by more than 2 goals since the 4-0 loss to Carlsbad on January 27th, so hopefully the defense can get back in their zone and aid the offense to improve the team record. The team's next game is against Ranch Buena Vista at home on Wednesday the 17th.
Varsity soccer is having a difficult year this go-around, as they slouch in a 1-12 overall record and 0-8 in league play. They have lost 11 straight games and have been consistently unable to score more than a goal. In the past 4 games, they have been outscored 14-2 and could have been getting closer to surrendering more if goalie Sean Cooke had been less consistent. Time and time again, the varsity defense has let opponents get to close to the goal box, leaving the goal wide open. With 2 games left in the season, these games will hopefully be looked at with high importance. Come support this team against RBV on the 17th at home, at 7.
