Last year's league winning members of the Avocado League are back on the courts again in Varsity, as they search for title number 3. Coach Dowdy has taken over as the Bobcat's new coach and is getting his team pumped for the upcoming 2016 season. Thus far the team is off to a slow start, as they have faired 2-3 at the end of the Winder Prep Classic Tournament, which ran from the 16th to the 23rd. After defeating El Capitan on the 18th in a decisive 67-38 victory, they lost the next two games 46-43 against Crawford HS and 50-31 against Valley Center HS. On the 22nd they bounced back with an emphatic 76-44 win against Olympian HS, but lost the final game on the 23rd by a score of 42-40. They are currently averaging 51 points per game offensively and giving up a minimal 34 points per game. As the season approaches, the Varsity team has just 9 games to go until opening night.
