The following is a brief update on the events that are approaching Sage Creek Students in the next few weeks...
GUYS AND DOLLS AUDITIONS: Run the week of November 2nd. Orchestra is needed and actors are needed. Signups are online under the sage creek drama section on schoolloop. Audition with a song from the show and the music can be brought in, or during lunches, the piano music will be played for students to record. CREATIVE WRITING CLUB: Students at SCHS are trying to form this club in order to do poetry and open mike nights. This club is being lead by our amazing A.P. Euro teacher, Mr. Cordell. Students are encouraged to send inquires to him and potential president, Juliette Evans. Cafe Bobcat is the opportunity for students to showcase their talents for performing in a fun environment. For the first Cafe Bobcat of this year, students were encouraged to dress up in Halloween costume, and the cafeteria was decorated in spooky decor. Among the wonderful performances was a rendition of Bo Burnham’s Left Brain, Right Brain by Mike Townzen and Nic Reynoso, a spectacular magic act by the Sage Creek Times’ own Sam Bodnar and Sean Cooke, a performance of the slam poem Punk Rock John from Jeremy Hargrove, and a gymnastic performance from Jennifer Baxter. The night was led by two delightful emcees, Natalie Goins and Elena Trask. There also was a costume contest which was won by an adorable Princess Jasmine. The night was great for the parents, students, and friends that attended, and hopefully this tradition can continue for years at Sage Creek.
