Through the past 2 weeks, our Varsity girls are 0-3 and currently have a 12-13 record. Despite their efforts, their front line has been out played as simple errors have damaged the scoreboard during the matches. Carlsbad, Vista, and La Costa Canyon got the better of the girls this time around for sure as the overall total in scores maxed out to a 9-1 loss in matches. With 5 games scheduled in the 2 weeks ahead, these girls need to get going if they want their 12-13 record to peak over .500.
After last edition of the SC Times, the Bobcat troop has faired 3-5 in their recent games, including tournament play. They currently have an overall record of 12-10 and a league record of 0-1. Coach Jessica LaScola has had her team working very hard in order to ensure a positive record for the second year of Varsity volleyball at Sage Creek High School. Despite a disappointing 0-4 turnout on the weekend of the 25th, Sage Creek still stands tall and is progressing with intense practices.
With the school year and season easing in, the women's JV and varsity tennis teams are beginning to enter the heart of their schedules. Thus far for head coach Jill Kenny, the JV team fairs at 0-2 overall and 0-1 in league play. Scored will be updated in a few days time, as scores have not officially been reported, but look back on the sage creek times for more updates. The JV team's next game is on Tuesday October 6th against Carlsbad High.
The varsity team is not playing to any higher standard than the JV squad, as they currently stand with an 0-4 overall record and 0-2 in league play. However, out of those games, only one of them was decided by more than 6 matches. Check back here on the Sage Creek Times for further updates, as scores for varsity have not been reported as well. |
