JV
At the end of March, the JV Women's lacrosse program has began with a 1-3 record. The home opener of the 16th was a nail biter all the way, but Murrieta Mesa managed to score in the final seconds and defeated Sage 3-2. The next two games were consecutively played on the 22nd and 23rd and both were losses against Mt. Carmel and Helix. Mt. Carmel led 5-0 in the first half, but the Bobcats came roaring back with 4 to make it a one goal game. Sadly, Mt. Carmel scored 3 and took the game 8-4. Helix never lost the lead as they maintained a strong offense and limited the passing of Sage Creek in their 7-5 win. Right before spring break, Sage defeated Rancho Bernardo on the 31st, which left them hopefully, with good momentum going into the next set of games.
Varsity
March did not treat Varsity kindly, as they stand 0-6 going into spring break. Their home opener against Murrieta Mesa was a tough 10-8 loss, however, the rest of the games played were decided by 5 goals or more. Santa Fe Christian won 11-6 on the 17th as they had a commanding 3 goal lead at all times throughout the game. The Mt. Carmel Sundevils were even less forgiving as they led 7-2 in the first half and then finished with a 16-6 lead. Helix and Pacific Ridge shut the Bobcat offense down completely at home on the 23rd and 30th as they won 12-3 and 10-2. Rancho Bernardo took the final stab at Sage Creek on the 31st, as they managed 10 runs in the first half and cleaned them out 16-3.
