Jv's troubles have continued through the month of April, as they have lost all 5 of the games they have played. Currently, they stand 0-13 overall and 0-4 in league play. The runs gap has significantly improved as opponents outscored them (on a run average basis) 14-7. On April 11th, Monte Vista barely snuck out of the field with a 13-10 win, but then Sage Creek was crushed 25-7 against Carlsbad on the 15th. Then, they hit the road and lost a tight 7-6 game against Vista before coming home to lose 16-8 against RBV on the 22nd. With just five games left, this team has a chance to level out their league record, as well as make some progress in their overall record.
Varsity
In their 6 games throughout April this team fought and faired 1-5, making them 1-11 overall and 0-5 in league play. After spring break, their bats came to life as they defeated Monte Vista 12-9 on the road. From there the games took a turn for the worst , as Carlsbad Rivals LCC beat them 18-1 on the 13th and Carlsbad beat them 11-4 on the 15th. Vista and RBV proceeded to shut them out on the 20th and 22nd by scores of 15-0 and 10-0. The most recent game against El Camino was a battle through and through as the defense was errorless, however, they fell in the end 3-2. Six games remain in the season, so this team still has time to turn their record into a more promising and respectable status.
