We interviewed the president of the Robotics Club, Mitha Senthilkumar, to get a sense of what it’s like to be in one of Sage Creek’s most popular clubs.
Q. What’s your favorite part about being in the robotics club?
A. Mitha enjoys how everybody in the club works together as a team and is completely committed to whatever project they are working on.
Q. Do you participate in any activities outside of the classroom?
A. The club visits middle schools to help smaller groups of kids in robotics. The club also gets involved with robotics competitions, where they compete against rival clubs to build the best robot.
Q. How will this club help your career?
A. Robotics club gives you experience in engineering and computer programming. Additionally, participating in in such an involved and intellectual club looks great on a college application.
Q. When and where do you meet?
A. The core meeting days are Wednesday and Thursday, however the club meets almost every day during the school week. Their location is Mr. Haynes room on the third floor of the administration building.
Overall, Robotics Club might be just right for you if you are interested in engineering. It’s very educational and fun to participate in competitions. It’s a good chance to make friends with similar interests in careers.
